Prof. Dr. Sasiwimol Saengvimal and Mr. Narongsak Sukkaewmanee, conducted a field survey in Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province. The mission aimed to collect samples of wild bananas as part of the Wild Banana Genetic Conservation Project, supported by the Bill &#038; Melinda Gates Foundation, USA.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0em; margin-bottom: 1em; text-indent: 3em; line-height: 2.0em; letter-spacing: 1px; font-family: 'K2D', sans-serif; font-size: 1.0em; text-align: justify;\">\nThis initiative focuses on the conservation and study of wild banana genetic resources, emphasizing the importance of biodiversity, documentation, and long-term preservation. The collected materials will serve as a valuable foundation for future research and agricultural development, particularly in relation to food security and sustainable crop improvement.\n\nBeyond its scientific significance, the fieldwork highlights the critical role of conserving natural resources and protecting genetic diversity.
