On June 17, 2025, a collaborative training workshop was organized to transfer agricultural innovation knowledge to longan farmers in Ban Phaeo District, Samut Sakhon Province. The event was held at the meeting room of the Ban Phaeo Agricultural Cooperative.
The session was honored by the participation of Associate Professor Dr. Aussanee Pichakum and Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharra Chintakovid from Mahidol University, Assistant Professor Pawin Manochai from Maejo University, and Associate Professor Dr. Peerasak Chaiprasart from Naresuan University. Together, they conducted lectures and discussions on the dissemination of agricultural innovations aimed at reducing the production costs of Longan Puang Thong (Golden Bunch Longan).
The training emphasized the application of appropriate innovations and technologies to improve production processes, reduce costs, increase yields, and ultimately enhance the quality of life for local farmers in a sustainable manner.
The event attracted strong interest from local longan growers, who actively participated in knowledge exchange and discussions. This reflects the effective collaboration between academic institutions and the agricultural sector, contributing to the tangible development of Thai agriculture.
