On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, organized an orientation program to welcome second-year undergraduate students (Class of 2024) who have officially chosen the department as their field of study. The event was attended by faculty members, staff, and students from the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, creating a warm and collegial atmosphere. During the program, second-year students introduced themselves to the faculty and peers, followed by a welcome speech and academic guidance from the Bachelor’s Program Chair. Students were also introduced to their academic advisors, who will play an important role in supporting them throughout their studies.
The event concluded with group photographs and a luncheon, providing an excellent opportunity to foster stronger connections among students, faculty members, and staff. This orientation served not only as an introduction to academic life in the Department of Plant Science but also as an important step in strengthening the sense of belonging and community within the department.
