On April 10, 2025, second-year students from the Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, participated in an educational field trip to the Research and Development Center for Nuclear Technology under the Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology (TINT). The visit was conducted under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Saroj Ruchisansakun, with the objective of enhancing the students’ knowledge and understanding of the applications of nuclear technology in scientific research, particularly in fields related to biology and botany.
The program included academic lectures on the fundamental principles of nuclear technology, its applications in agriculture and environmental science, as well as guided tours of key facilities such as the radiation analysis laboratory and the nuclear reactor simulation room. These activities greatly stimulated the students’ interest and left a lasting impression.
This field trip served as a valuable opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience beyond the classroom, broadening their perspectives and inspiring them to apply their knowledge in future academic and research endeavors.
